Good Morning, Stampers!

Now that the Thanksgiving holiday is behind us, it's time to focus on

all things Christmas! The week at Create with Connie and Mary, We 

are sharing some fun gift tags with you! These are not only great for packages,

they also make fun ornaments, too! Fill your gifts and tree with them!

Here are a few of my favorite tags I created featuring several

different stamp sets and die cuts. You could easily color-coordinate

to match your wrapping paper or gift bag!

Pumpkin Treat Display

Good Morning, Stampers!

Happy Halloween Eve! One of the things my husband and I love doing on Halloween is walking with the kids around the neighborhood as they trick-or-treat from house to house. One problem we always run into is who stays home to pass out the candy? I have a fun idea to share with you today that solves our dilema!

I created a "take one" pumpkin that is (or will be) filled with the candy treats for the kids to take when they come to our house!

I took a styrofoam pumpkin from the craft store (a real one would work, too!) and inserted (2) wooden skewers into the top. I created the banner using the Sketched Alphabet and Halloween Hello stamp sets. I held the bats and witch using 34 gauge wire taped to the backside.

The treats were created using the Pumpkin Pie Goody Gear Simply Created Kit and the Halloween Hello  and Oh, Goodie stamp sets. Tape the treats to the pumpkin and they are ready to go!

This would be fun for a desk, too! Give one to a teacher, co-worker, secretary, etc...

I think this is SO MUCH CUTER than just a bowl of candy!

Hodgepodge Halloween Tag

Good Morning, Stampers!

Stampin' Up! has SO MANY adorable Halloween stamps I had a hard time using just a select few for this tag. I call this my Hodgepodge Halloween tag! Its a combination of Halloween Bash, Seasonal Sayings and Perfectly You stamp sets. A fun and fabulous Friday project!

I attached all of the individual elements to a Chevron embossed Chalk Talk Tag.

 I finished it off with a touch of Basic Black Chevron Ribbon

Good Morning, Stampers!

Happy Halloween to EVERYONE!! I have one last Halloween treat to share with you today! I made several of these little treats up for all of the little ghosts and gobblins that cross my path today!

Isn't this too cute?! (If I may say so myself! haha!!)

Here is a step-by-step tutorial for you! 

1. Cut Tangerine Tango cardstock using the largest Label framelit.

2. Score 1" on each side from the center point.

3. Emboss with the Spider Web embossing folder.

4. Punch a hole on each side of the label using the Word Window punch.

5. Cut a strip of Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP 1" x 8". 

6. Fold the label on the score lines.

7. Insert the DSP strip from the backside, along the bottom and up thru the front. 

8. Stamp the ghost onto Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink. Cut.

9. Stamp the sentiment onto Whispser White cardstick using Basic Black ink. Punch using the Word Window punch.

10. Adhere both pieces to the center of the DSP strip using Stampin' Dimensionals.

11. Staple the label shut. 

12. Insert (2) small candy bars into the label.

13. Tie a piece of Pumpkin Pie ribbon in a bow. Use a glue dot to secure the bow to the label. 

14. Trim the top of the DSP strip in a "v".

These would be cute in a Fall theme for place cards at Thanksgiving dinner or in a Holiday theme and tucked into a stocking!

13 Weeks of Halloween

Good Morning, Stampers!

I can't believe this is the 13th and final week of the Great Halloween Blog Hop! Haven't the last 12 weeks been spookishly amazing?!

My final project comes from an old idea but always a Halloween favorite, never-the-less!

Do you remember filling the medical gloves with popcorn and candy corn? What about filling it with tons of candy? Any child (or adult, too!) would LOVE to dig into this! 

I was able to get these clear cleaning gloves at the local dollar store - 100 for a buck! Such a deal! (**If you are local and want some, let me know - I have lots of left-overs!)

 

Here is a close-up of the tag. I used a hodgepodge of stamps and papers 

to create this. A great way to utilize scraps!

Pumpkin Silhouettes

Good Morning, Stampers!

Things are winding down as we get closer and closer to Halloween! Just a couple of weeks left of the 13 Weeks of Halloween Blog Hop!

I came across some photos of pumpkins that were painted in black silhouettes. I thought it would be fun to give it a try with the Jack of All Trades stamp set and the Googly Ghouls set was perfect for the silhouettes!

We're counting down the weeks until Halloween with FABULOUS projects! I created my cards this week specifically for my Stamp of the Month Club. The stamp set featured is Googly Ghouls!
I think this has been my most favorite set for the Halloween season hands down!

Halloween Shadow Box

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have the funnest project to share with you today that was made by my friend, Linda! She is so talented and creative - I just love her style!

This is her Halloween Shadow Box - isn't it absolutely darling?! She decorated little wooden stamp blocks and adhered each one inside the shadow box. I love how each block is different. She used stickers, pre-made embellishments, stamps & die cuts. The textures and patterns are so much fun! You will notice along the top and bottom right, she added a cute little "Happy Halloween" pennant banner. The bottom left corner is an adorable little 3D witches hat. Linda, you're the BOMB!!

13 Weeks of Halloween - FREE Tutorial!

Good Morning, Stampers!

We are into October! Just a few more weeks until Halloween! Do you know what that means? I have a few more weeks of Halloween projects to share with you on the Great Pumpkin Blog Hop!!

This week's project calls for another recycled household item - a toilet paper roll! I love using these because the cardboard is pretty strong and durable. Strong enough to hold things like candy!

Tutorial:

1. Cut the toilet paper roll to 3 1/2" wide. 

2. Cover the roll with Designer Halloween paper using Multi-purpose Liquid glue..

3. Staple one end closed.

4. Punch a hole on each side about 1/2" down from the top.

5. Run a piece of 12" ribbon thru each hole and secure with a knot on the inside of the tube.

6. Emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the frame embossing folder. Cut around the outside of the frame as well as the inside of the frame.

7. Cut a strip of DSP measuring 1/2" x 2 1/2". Fold in half and adhere around the lower left corner of the frame.

8. Repeat the above step using a strip of DSP measuring 1/4" x 2".

9. Adhere the frame to the front of the tube using Stampin' Dimensionals.

10. Stamp (2) ghost images - one in Basic Black and one in Lucky Limeade. Cut the black image on the outside of the label. Cut the Limeade image on the inside line. Adhere the Limeade on top of the black image using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere to the tube with Stampin' Dimensionals.

11. Punch a 1" circle from Lucky Limeade cardstock and adhere to the tube with Stampin' Dimensonals.

12. Stamp the sentiment in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch with a 3/4" circle punch. 

13. Color the pumpkin with Tangerine Tango ink.

14. Adhere the sentiment to the Limeade circle using a Stampin' Dimensional. 

15. Fill the tube with candy and treats!

13 Weeks of Halloween - CrEePy Framed Art

Good Morning, Stampers!

It is another week for Halloween FUN on the 13 Weeks of Halloween Blog Hop!! I love all of the fun projects I have seen these past few weeks! They are unique and truly inspiring! There are so many talented paper crafters out there!

My project for this week is my Monthly Framed Art called CrEePy! I had a hard time deciding which stamp sets to use because I love so many of the Halloween stamp sets!I finally decided to just use them all! Here is my final project:

The finished panel measures 5" x 12". The frame itself measures 7" x 14".

September FREE STAMP - FREE TUTORIAL!

Good Morning, Stampers!

I had the pleasure of hosting my Monthly FREE STAMP this past week! I LOVE to do this as a "thank you" to all of my customers. Without your support, I would never be where I am today!

I had a fun Halloween treat all planned and ready for them to make on Thursday - complete with the fillin's!

Here are the instructions:

Happy “Boo” to YOU!
1. Cut (2) pieces of Basic Black cardstock for the wings from the Elegant Bird Sizzix die.
2. Emboss the wings using the Chevron embossing folder.
2. Cut (2) pieces of Basic Black cardstock from the Dresden Sizzix die. * Note: smaller of the two - if you choose the larger, you will need to re-adjust sizes for the remaining pieces.
3. Emboss (1) usig the Spider Web embossing folder.
4. Fold the front flap toward the front.
5. Adhere the (2) body pieces from the Sizzix Dresden die together along the edges to form the pocket using liquid glue. (do not glue the flap just yet)
6. Adhere the (2) wings to the backside.
7. Cut (2) "fangs" from Whisper White cardstock & adhere on the underside of the flap.
8. Adhere the flap down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
9. Punch (2) Whisper White circles from a 1" punch. Adhere to the flap.
10. Punch (2) 1/2" circles from Real Red cardstock. Adhere to the white circles.
11. Punch (2) small circles from Basic Black cardstock using the small circle punch from the Itty Bitty punch pack. Adhere to the Real Red circles.
12. Adhere the Googlie Eyes to the black circles.
13. Punch a hole at the top/backside & tie a piece of Basic Black Taffeta ribbon for hanging.
14. Stamp the sentiment in Basic Black ink onto Whipser White cardstock. Cut to form banner and adhere to the front of the bat using Stampin' Dimensionals.
15. Fill with treats (if desired)

13 Weeks of Halloween Blog Hop!

We are on week 7 of the 13 Weeks of Halloween Blog Hop! My project for this week is super simple and a fun little treat for the little ones! I found this idea on Pinterest (See, all of the time I spend on there DOES pay off! lol!)

Aren't they sooo adorable? Mini marshmallow Ghosts! I am so glad I have the Jack of All Trades stamp set.. It worked perfectly with the Jet Black Stazon ink pad. The sentiment comes from the  Monster Munchies in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
