Thanksgiving Place Card Frame

Good Morning, Stampers!

I came across a this little wedding place card frame while shopping at my favorite dollar store this past week. I thought it would be fun to incorporate the idea into a Fall theme for my Thanksgiving table.

Stampin' Up! has beautiful gold inks, papers and embellishments that made it so easy to put together!

 

I began by tracing the front and inside of the frame to the 

backside of the Gold Foil paper and cut it out.

After cutting the entire piece out, I embossed it

using the Zig Zag embossing folder and adhered 

it to the frame using Multi-Purpose Liquid glue.

Stamp the large leaf in Encore Gold Metallic onto Very Vanilla cardstock and Cut. 

Adhere to theframe with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the acorns using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso markers. Cut.

Cut a yellow leaf from the Color Me Autumn DSP.

Stamp the sentiment onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso               inks. Cut. Adhere the pieces to the frame using Stampin' Dimensioanls.

Cut a piece of DSP to insert into the frame.

Cut the letters from Early Espresso cardstock using the

Sizzix Little Letters framelits.

Add a little Autumn Wooden embellishment and attach with a 

Gold Baker's Twine bow using a glue dot.

May Framed Art - A Mix of Media

Good Morning, Stampers!

I just love the collage-look of mixed media! It is a hodge-podge of fun elements that is so forgiving! There really is no way you can go wrong! I decided to give it a try for my May Framed Art - whatcha think?

I incorporated Designer Papers, textured cardstock, ink, , sponging, stamps - even some screen! I added in a couple of 3D flowers and some printed words. It's almost like putting together a puzzle - only YOU get to decide how it is going to look! I love the way it turned out - I will definitely be doing more of it! Maybe in a card... hmmmmm...

February Framed Art - Owl Always LOVE You

Good Morning, Stampers!

There are so many adorable little owl Valentine's in the stores right now - I just knew I needed to incorporate one into my February Framed Art class!

The only challenge was getting the owl just the right size. My Digital Studio to the rescue! I simply stretched the owl punch in the software until I got him to fit the frame. The wings are done using the bird punch and the same process. Voila! A customized owl! 

Join me on Monday, February 4th @ 6:30pm. 

Class fee is $15 w/ frame or $10 w/o frame.

December Framed Art

Good Morning, Stampers!

The theme for my December Framed Art is "Christmas in the Air". It combines a few of my favorite Holiday stamp sets combined with a little watercoloring and lots of glimmer and glitter! What you can't see are the beautiful shimmer snowflakes stamped in the Illuminate ink pad. Such a gorgeous effect!
