rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge #387

 Good Morning, Stampers!

(click photo to enlarge)

There’s something exciting about stepping outside the standard rectangle and letting a card take on a personality of its own. This week’s rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge lets us to do exactly that — create a fun‑shaped card — and oh my crafty stars, was it delightful!

Shaped cards always feel like a little surprise waiting to be opened. They’re playful, unexpected, and full of charm… like handing someone a tiny piece of whimsy disguised as happy mail.

I turned my basic rectangle card into a file folder card using the
Bordered in Beauty dies. The card folds down for a little bit of
fun while sending a pop of birthday cheer - Cue the confetti!

The Extraordinary Life and Bordered in Beauty dies will be
coming to my online store in May - stay tuned!

 Good Morning, Stampers!

(click photo to enlarge)

This week’s Paper Craft Crew color challenge is such a fun one — six gorgeous shades to choose from, and you get to pick any three for your project. It’s like opening a treasure box of ink pads and deciding which ones want to play together!

For my inspiration card, I reached for the Fern and Flora bundle and let the colors guide the mood. I chose to use Crumb Cake, Night of Navy and Pretty Peacock, and they worked beautifully with the layered foliage and soft, organic textures in this set. Color challenges like this always remind me how much creativity blooms when we limit our palette!

Stamps: Fern and Flora
Ink: Crumb Cake, Pretty Peacock, Craft White

Bee Amazed - Mirror Technique

 Good Morning, Stampers!

Have you ever had one of those crafting moments where you’re so close to loving a project, but something feels just a little… off? Maybe the balance isn’t quite right, or the focal point needs a tiny spark of surprise. When that happens, I reach for one of my favorite creative tricks — the mirror technique! Take a look at how easy it is and give it a try for yourself!

Wow Tip: Mirror Stamping
Let’s say you have a cute, little bee stamp facing in one direction, and you would like to give it a friend. How could you make it work? Mirror (AKA Reverse) Stamping will bring these bees together!
Step 1: Die cut a heart shape from Basic White Cardstock. Then, stamp the bee image with Memento ink on a Silicone Craft Sheet. Note: This technique will also work with the new Basic Black Hybrid Stampin’ Pad, now available for preorder.
Step 2: Place the die-cut heart on the stamped image and rub it with your finger to transfer the image.
Step 3: Stamp the image again on the heart so that the bees are facing one another.

Shop the silicone craft sheet in my
online store HERE
