Welcome to this week's rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge! 

With Mother's Day just around the corner, it's only appropriate

that we celebrate all the special Mom's in our lives!

The Alphabest stamp set was the perfect way to personalize
this card for my Mom for Mother's Day!
I stamped the flowers lightly using Pebbled Path ink
and brushed the Lemon Lolly ink softly on top using a blending brush.

What do you think of the NEW Lemon Lolly color? 

I think it's my new favorite shade of yellow!

This week's rubberfunatics Card Challenge is a Pick 3! Choose any three of the six options and
create something all your own! 

I created a fun fold/gift card holder just in time

for Mother's Day! Sending a gift card lets Mom choose

her own gift - you definitely can't go wrong with that, right?!

You'll need a 12" sheet of cardstock for this.

You could easily add more gift card pockets if you need to.

There are lots of different ways you can create this card to

make it uniquely yours.

easy card and treat for a last-minute gift for the special ladies

in your life. Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters, Daughers, Daughters-in-law, etc.

The projects feature a little of the "old" and a little of the "new".

We will soon be saying "good-bye" to the Flower Patch stamp set

and "hello" to the NEW Berry Burst In-Color!  

Create these flower treats with your favorite framelit

or punch and a tasty chocolate!

I added the same flower to the center of the card

after adhering the NEW Fresh Florals designer papers - so simple!

Control Freaks April Blog Hop - Mothers/Friends

Hello, Stampers!

Welcome to the April Control Freaks Blog Hop!

This month, we are celebrating Mom's and friends!

Whether you are arriving from Cindy's blog or just starting out here,

we have a great hop planned for you!

Ready for hanging! Can you guess what these little bird cages are made from?

If you said Stampin' Up! embellishment containers, you'd be correct! 

I covered the bottom of the container with a 1 1/4" x 8 1/4"

piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock using Tear and Tape.

Then I wrapped a 3/4" x 8 1/4" coordinating piece of Fruit Stand 

designer paper around the center. 

To finish it off, I snipped the top of the Pear Pizzazz cardstock

using the Fringe Scissors.

I then cut (4) 1/8" x 8" strips of So Saffron cardstock and

glued to the inside of container on each edge.

The birds are stamped on Whisper White cardstock

using Archival Basic Black ink and colored with a blender pen.

Lastly, I filled with crimped paper pieces

but little candy treats would fit nicely, too!

You can tie to hang or add a bow at the top.

Either way, it's a great treat for a Mother or friend!

Control Freaks April Blog Tour - Ladies and Gentleman

Hello, Stampers!

Welcome to the April Tour de Freaks Blog Hop - Ladies and Gentlemen!

Yes! That's our theme - Ladies and Gentlemen!

If you are arriving from Debbie's Designs blog, you've

already got a head-start on some fabulous ideas!

If you are just starting out, you will see that I am 

focusing on Mother's Day and Father's Day.

These milk bottles (formally known as Starbucks)

were altered and filled with yummy candies.

Just so happens that it's mine and my husbands 

candy of choice  (Sweedish Fish and Milk Duds) - hmmmmm... 

or should I say yummmmmm!! 

I wouldn't want them going to waste! 

The straws were made from the designer paper to

coordinate. A 2" x 10" strip rolled nice and tight.

A great way to use up scrap papers, too!

 

The medallion is actually a circle cut 

from the Sunburst thinlit.
