CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Christmas in July

Good Morning, Stampers!

Merry Christmas in July from the Create with Connie
and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

I went with a more natural look for my card using the
Wood Textures designer paper.

I stamped the greenery onto the designer paper and stamped the
Whisper White ink directly on top to give the look of
frosted snow-covered pines.

Of course, any winter scene would not be complete without
a few snowflakes, too!
SU!pplies:
Stamps: Christmas Pines, Colorful Seasons
Ink: Early Espresso, Tranquil Tide, Real Red, Whisper White
Paper: Wood Textures DSP, Whisper White, Tranquil Tide
Accessories: Silvered Edge ribbon, Pretty Pines thinlits

OSAT Blog Hop – All You Need is Love

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the February OSAT Blog Hop -
All You Need is Love!

If you are following along on the hop, you are arriving from Pam's blog
Her projects are always so inspiring! If you are just starting out, you will
be guided at the end of this post to continue.

My first project is something I used to do as a kid.
It's a fun project that wraps baker's twine dipped in equal parts
glue and water and then wrap around a balloon to dry.
Before I started though, I added candy kisses inside the ballon
before blowing it up. Then, when the balloon is popped, the
candy stays inside the little ball! So fun!

Of course, "Sealed with a Kiss" is the perfect sentiment for
this! A little treat of hugs and kisses!

My second project is a simple card that can
be used for a wedding, anniversay, birthday, etc.
Really, any event that involves LOVE!

I never realized how well the Mixed Borders stamp set
and the Bloomin' Hearts suite work perfectly together.
I love that Stampin' Up! had coordinating products -
Makes it so easy to create!

Stamping and embossing with Versamark and clear
embossing powder is a simple and subtle way to fill
empty space without taking away from the main
focal point of the card. I think it adds a touch of
elegance to the card, too!

Now,head over to Lori's blog to see what
she has to share with you!

Control Freaks April Blog Tour - Ladies and Gentleman

Hello, Stampers!

Welcome to the April Tour de Freaks Blog Hop - Ladies and Gentlemen!
Yes! That's our theme - Ladies and Gentlemen!
If you are arriving from Debbie's Designs blog, you've
already got a head-start on some fabulous ideas!

If you are just starting out, you will see that I am
focusing on Mother's Day and Father's Day.

These milk bottles (formally known as Starbucks)
were altered and filled with yummy candies.
Just so happens that it's mine and my husbands
candy of choice  (Sweedish Fish and Milk Duds) - hmmmmm...
or should I say yummmmmm!!
I wouldn't want them going to waste!

The straws were made from the designer paper to
coordinate. A 2" x 10" strip rolled nice and tight.

A great way to use up scrap papers, too!

The medallion is actually a circle cut
from the Sunburst thinlit.

Mother's Day SU!pplies:
Stamps: First Sight. All Boxed Up
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake, Birthday Bouquet DSP
Accessories: Circle framelits, Sweetheart punch, Mini Treat Bag thinlit (heart), Happy Heart embossing folder, Mossy Meadow marker, Watermelon Wonder marker, Watermelon Wonder Lace Trim, Gently Falling embossing folder, Striped Scallop thinlit, Basic Pearls, glass milk bottle

Father's Day SU!pplies:

Tour de Freaks - Love is in the Air

Hello, Stampers!

Welcome to the Janaury Control Freaks Blog Hop - Love is in the Air!
Can you feel the love? Whether you are arriving from Debbie's Designs or
just starting out here, I promise by the end of the tour you will!

For me, Valentine's Day is my favorite day of the year. Not just because it's
my birthday (ok, that IS the main reason, haha), but really, what's not to
LOVE about LOVE??? Right?

And what's not to love about the Love Blossom's Suite?
Look at the detail in the Bllomin' Heart thinlit. The vanilla
tone-on-tone really makes the red "pop"!
Of course, I couldn't have a card without a little
added gold accent. Kinda romantic, I think.

SU!pplies:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Red Glimmer, Red Foil
Accessories: Gold Sequins, GOld Baker's Twine, Bloomin' Heart thinlits, Happy Heart embossing folder, Little Letter thinlits

The second project came to me when I first saw the Birthday
Bouquet designer paper. I love the shabby chic/Victorian feel of
all the papers. I picked up some 5" wooden letters from the craft store.
I traced the letters onto the papers, cut and adhered with Multi-purpose liquid glue.
Once dried, I sponged the letters with Crumb Cake. Then, I glued the letters
together and added a few simple embellishments. Looks
super cute on my shelf surrounded by Valentine cards!

SU!pplies:
Ink: Crumb Cake
Paper: Birthday Bouquet designer paper, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Watermelon Wonder
Accessories: Bloomin' Heart thinlits, Blushing Bride satin ribbon (Artisan embellishment kit), Basic Pearls, Botanical Builder framelits (leaves), Sponge Dauber, Tea Lace Doily

I hope you enjoyed!

Saturday Blog Hop - Lotus Blossom

Good Morning, Stampers!

I am so excited to be a part of the NEW Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!
Whether you are arriving from Mary's Stampercamper blog or just starting out here, Welcome!
This week, we are featuring the Lotus Blossom stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration  product line.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this set when it was first introduced to us back in December - it is my most favorite set in the brochure!

With a little snip of the Curvy Keepsake framelit, I created a coffee cup/mug!
A little added doily makes it looks like it's sitting on a table.
The background was created using a few drops of Calypso Coral
reinker and a few spritz's of water. Be sure to let it dry completely before
finishing up the card!

Just snip at the "handle and the base and you are set to go!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Lotus Blossom
Ink: Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe
Paper: Watercolor, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Heart Framelits, Curvy Keepsakes framelit, Gold Baker's Twine, Tea Lace doily, In Color sequins

You will certainly be inspired by her creativity!

Spring Collection Blog Hop - Week 1

Good Morning, Stampers!

If you are just arriving from Mary's Stampercamper Blog, you are in the right place! If you are just starting out here, hang on tight it's gonna be an inspirational ride!

So, we are winding down the first week of the Spring Collection and this blog
hop is a little recap of all the products we featured for our projects this
past week. The theme was Sale-A-Bration!

I just can't seem to get enough of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty paper!
It is so fun trying out all sorts of ways to color this paper!
For this card, I simply sponged the area using a sponge dauber in Pear Pizzazz.
It kind of looks like this sweet peep is in a little flower meadow, doesn't it?!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: For Peep's Sake
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Strawberry Slush, Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder, Jet Black Stazon
Paper: Irresistibly Yours, Whisper White
Accessories: Crushed Curry Baker's Twine
