rubberFUNatics Card Challenge #146

 Good Morning, Stampers!

It's FRIDAY! Time for a new rubberFUNatics Card
Challenge! This week, we are creating a card using letters.
It's a great way to personalize, add a little interest or create
a word or phrase to any project.

What do you think of this background stamp Festive Foliage?
It was so much fun to color! So relaxing and fun to do!

I started with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
I laid all the letters on top and ran it thru the Big Shot.
Then, I removed the letters and stamped the image using
Tuxedo Black ink and colored using Stampin' Blends.

I then adhered the panel to the Real Red card base using Stampin'
Dimensionals and added the "Christmas: die cut from Gold
Metallic paper. To finish it off, I added a few Real Red rhinestone "berries".

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Festive Foliage
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Gold Metallic
Accessories: Playful Alphabet dies, Word Wishes dies, Real Red Rhinestones
Stampin' Blends: Real Red, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake, Old Olive

Thinking of You

 Good Morning, Stampers!

Today's project is a quick and simple card featuring the soon-to-be retired Rooted in Nature stamp set. I love the clean, natural and raw feel this combination gives  - especially for making sympathy cards.

I started with Pool Party ink and blending brush to add a soft
hue to the background. Then, I inked the images and then spritzed them
lightly with water before stamping onto Very Vanilla cardstock to give a
watercolor look. Finally, I used a water painter with Early Espresso ink and
added ink splatters and finished it off with a little Linen Thread.
I'm gonna miss this set!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Rooted in Nature, Woven Heirlooms
Ink: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Evening Evergreen*, Crumb Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Blending Brush, Stampin' Spritzer, Linen Thread

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop - Shades of Blue

 Good Morning, Stampers!

We are half way through our month of popular songs with
color-themes. Today, is Blue Bayou.

Coincidentally, Misty Moonlight is also a song! It's such a lovely
shade of blue and is my top choice for making masculine cards.

I For this card, stamped the background using Misty Moonlight. Then, using a
water painter, I splattered Whisper White ink and let it dry.
For the sentiment, I stamped (2) feathers onto Basic White cardstock
using Versamark ink. Then, I sprinkled White embossing powder and heat
set. Finally, I added Misty Moonlight with a sponge, cut them and
added them to a Pool Party sponged square with a Whisper White stamped sentiment
and sequin accents. The sentiment can easily be swapped out
for any occasion or event.

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Ink: Whisper White, Versamark, Misty Moonlight, Pool Party
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Misty Moonlight
Accessories: White embossing powder, heat tool, Adhesive-backed sequins, water painter,
Stitched Shapes dies

One Stamp at a Time April Blog Hop - Say What

 Good Morning, Stampers!

The OSAT design team has a fun play on words for this
month's blog hop! It's fun to combine different sentiments:
styles, fonts, sizes, etc. to create something truly unique!

This card combines the sentiments from the Many Messages stamp set
from the Jan-June mini catalog. The Rainbow Glimmer paper
is a great backdrop against the black accents.

For this project, I covered some 4" x 4" coasters (you could use
heavy chipboard, too) with the Playing with Patterns designer papers.
Then I just added a few sentiments with stamps and die cuts
for a fun party banner. A great size for a door or desk area.

Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge #421

 Good Morning, Stampers!

We are changing things up a little this week at the
Paper Craft Crew. We are creating cards
with an outdoor theme - just in time for Spring!

April showers bring May flowers - at least I hope this
card will! I created the clouds by making a stencil freehand
from cardstock and sponging Balmy Blue ink. Then, I cut strips of
Rainbow Glimmer paper to make the rainbow.
It was the perfect backdrop for umbrellas and rainboots -
hoping it will brighten someone's day!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Under My Umbrella
Ink: Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, Tuxedo Black, Whisper White
Paper: Basic White, Rainbow Glimmer, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Umbrella Builder punch, Blending brushes

Hop into the season of new beginnings, flowers, bunnies,
chicks and eggs - and create some Springtime greetings!

I came across the Pop n' Flip technique while scrolling
on Pinterest. It's not one I had seen, so I had to give it a try!

and stays propped up all on it's own - a fun, interactive
surprise for Eastertime!

* Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of designer paper and adhere to the top of the card front.
* Die cut the shap from the card front.
* Cut a 2" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock.
* Scored at 3/4", 1 1/2" and 2 1/4". Fold along the score lines.
* Center onto the inside of the die cut opening and adhere along the fold (see photo)
* Cut a 3/4" x 2 1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock score at 1 ¼”. Fold along the score line.
* Adhere the long tab onto the center of the box.
* Close the card and adhere the die cut on top.
