A Simple Watercolor Background

Good Morning, Stampers!

Need an idea for a super-quick and easy background? Use your Aqua Painter along with your reinker to create a watercolor background. Just wet your Aqua Painter, add a few drops to the aqua Painter to your palatte. Spread the color over the card front using the Aqua Painter. Then, let the ink dry completely and emboss using your favorite embossing folder. It's that easy!! Finish your card with any images - like the Forever Blossoms stamp set from the Jan-June Catalog.

Forever Friend

Good Morning, Stampers!

The Forever Blossoms stamp set is a Distinktive stamp set -  it has a deeply etched image -  that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. The image here has been stamped off to give an even more subtle look. The die cut flowers were added to frame the sentiment.

TP Gift Card Holder

Good Morning, Stampers!

I am on a roll - a toilet paper roll that is! Last week, I shared an Easter favor using an empty roll (see that here). Today, I have another idea - a gift card holder! I have the step-by-step instructions below - take a look:

Here are the details:

1. Press the empty roll flat.

2. Adhere one end of the roll closed.

3. Wrap and adhere the designer paper around the roll.

4. Punch Bermuda Bay cardstock using the Decorative Ribbon Border punch.

5. Adhere the strip on the inside of the roll so it peeks out the top.

6. Cut the Marquee lights from Whisper White and So Saffron cardstock.

7. Adhere to the roll.

8. Punch the WISH from Basic Black cardstock.

8. Adhere to the Marquee.

9. Punch a 1" circle from Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral cardstock.

10. Emboss the circles using the Button, Button embossing folder.

11. Cut (2) balloon strings from Basic Black cardstock.

12. Cut the strings in half.

13. Adhere the the top of the strings to to Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry circles.

14. Tuck the balloons behind the top of the Marquee using Stmapin'  Dimenisonals.

15. Adhere the bottom of the strings below the Marquee.

16. Cut a 2 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

17. Cut a 2 1/8" x 4 3/8" piece of designer paper. Adhere to the Whisper White cardstock.

18. Punch a tab from Calypso Coral cardsotck and adhere to the top left of the insert.

19. Punch a 1 1/8" scallop circle from Whisper White cardstock.

20. Adhere to top of the tab.

21. Adhere the 1" Calyspo Coral circle to the top of the scallop circle.

22. Tie a Whisper White polka dot bow around the tab.

23. Use a little dot of Multi-purpose liquid glue in the center of the insert. Let dry completely.

24. Adhere gift card to the tacky glue.

Happy Easter, Stampers!

I have a fun card to share with you today featuring little chocolate carrots I found at the dollar store.
It's a card and yummy treat in one!

I created a small box and adhered it to the 

bottom of the embossed card front and then added

a few more stamped images and embellishments.

To create the box: Cut a piece of cardstock to 2 1/2" x 5 1/4". Along the short side, score at 1"
and 1 1/2". On the long side at 1/2" and 4 3/4".
Snip the ends and adhere the tabs to form the box. Adhere the box to the bottom of the card.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Treats

treat ideas with you!

The topic of conversations these last several weeks 

has been toilet paper. I hope you are holding

onto your empty rolls - this is a fun treat holder featuring

 an empty roll! 

I covered the roll with Magnolia Lane designer paper

and then pressed one end and adhered it to close.

Adding a few Spring tulips, a sentiment and a stamped

handle and you have a fun little treat pouch 

you can fill with your fvorite yummies. I made several of these

and will drop them off on my neighbors porch later today!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Cards

It's a new month and we have a new look and a 

new blog hop theme to share with you!

 This week, we are sharing Easter cards! 

Just one week left. If you haven't created

your Easter cards yet, the Create with Connie and Mary

Design Team have some ideas to get you started!

This card celebrates the more religious side of

the Easter holiday. I used softer, Spring-like colors

along with a sentiment that speaks to the heart to 

give a little more comfort and hope while

Easter traditions, like church, or family brunch 

or dinner, aren't happening. 

To recreate this card:

1/ Stamp the floral images onto a 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White PANEL using Smoky Slate ink (stamp off first)

2/ Color the images using Soft Seafoam and Calypso Coral inks and an Aqua Painter.

3/ Stamp the Happy Easter using Basic Gray ink.

4/ Stamp the sentiment using Smoky Slate ink.

5/ Die cut the crosses from Basic Gray cardstock. Adhere together.

6/ Adhere the cross on top of the floral iamges.

7/ Adhere pearls to the cross.

8/ Tie the polka dot ribbon around the left of the panel in a bow.

9/ Adhere the panel to a 4 1/4" x 11" Whisper White card base.

Easter Egg Carton Bubble Gum's

Good Morning, Stampers!

Tropical Oasis Mini Scrapbook

I've changed things up a bit for todays project! The finished card measures 3" x 4". Use it as a mini scrapbook or add to the front of a card panel for a card and scrapbook in one!

Cut the designer paper card base to 4" x 12". 

Score at 3", 6" and 9". Fold.

I did a combination of the stamp set, Memories and More

cards and the In the Tropics dies to complete. It's fun 

for a summer trip or any tropical theme event!

Dollar Store Stampin' Up! Style - Rubik's Cube

Good Morning, Stampers!

I've been at the dollar store again! This time, I found a Rubic's Cube in the toy section. I was sure all those little stickers could be replaced with our beautiful Stampin' Up! designer papers!

And how simple this was! I just cut the designer papers

and adhered them right on top. The hardest part is deciding

what patterns to use! 

The Best Dressed designer papers have so many

gorgeous floral images and worked great as the

backdrop on the cube. The Pleased as Punch designer papers

are so Springy and coordinate nicely with the images

from the Welcome Easter stamp set.
