Control Freaks May Blog Hop

 Hi Stampers! 

Welcome to the Control Freaks May Blog Hop! This month, we are saying good-bye to

some of our old favorites! Whether you are just starting out here, or arriving from

the ever-talented Cindy, I am so glad you are here to join us!

One of my favorites I am sad to see go is the Oh So Eclectic stamp set

and coordinating Eclectic Layers thinlits. It saw lots of ink over its time!

Here, I highlighted the colors on the white panel and

kept the background monochromatic. It really makes

the flowers pop! 

This card is more of a tone on tone. I stamped

the card front using Early Espresso

ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. 

 The neutral colors give a little vintagy feel.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Shades of Yellow

Good Morning, Stampers!

 The Create with Connie and Mary Design Team is 

continuing the Music-themed challenge this week!

Today, we are creating cards around the song

Good Bye Yellow Brick Road.

I went with the obvious yellow-theme for 

my card. The Swirly Bird stamp set is leaving us

soon, so I thought I would get another

card in before it's gone!

To create this card:

1. Stamp the large circle for the sun using So Saffron ink.

2. Stamp the swirl on top using Crushed Curry ink.

3. Stamp the speckled image using Daffodil Delight ink.

4. Emboss (3) white clouds using the Softly Falling embossing folder

5. Adhere the clouds to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals

6. Die cut the sentiment using Crushed Curry cardstock.

7. Adhere the die cut to the card front.

8. Stamp the sentiment using Crushed Curry ink onto Whisper White cardstock, Cut.

9. Adhere the sentiment using Stampin' Dimesnionals.

Love You More than the Stars

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have an quick and fun watercolor card to share with you today! It features the Little Twinkle stamp set - SO CUTE! It's amazing how quickly this card comes together with the Twinkle Builder punch!
Just ink up the watercolor paper with Balmy Blue ink and an Aqua Painter and let it dry completely.
Once dry, you can punch and add a sentiment with Night of Navy ink!Add it to a piece of vellum cardstock and adhere to your card front.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Cards that Move

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the Saturday Create with Connie

and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

This week, we are sharing cards that move - 

it's going to be so much fun!

This idea is an "oldie but goodie".

I am so excited to see brads are making a comeback

in the new Annual Catalog! 

Peek-a-Boo!!!

The top swings open to reveal the inside sentiment!

To create this card:

1. Cut the Mint Macaron card base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Fold

2. Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Nature's Poem designer paper.

3. Lay the dsp on top of the card front.

4. Cut a circle on the card front.

5. Cut a scallop frame from Tranquil Tide using the circle and scallop circle framelit.

6. Adhere to the designer paper.

8. Cut a circle from Tranquil Tide and emboss using the Layered Leaves embossing folder.

9. Center the embossed circle to the designer paper and punch a 1/8" hole at the top.

10. Insert the brad to secure.

11. Adhere the designer paper to the card front.

12. Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock using Tranquil Tide ink.

13. Cut each end to form a banner.

14. Adhere the sentiment to the embossed circle using Stampin' Dimensionals.

15. Cut a leaf from Crumb Cake and Gold Glimmer papers.

16. Adhere to the card front.

17. Cut a sprig from Mint Macaron cardstock and adhere to the card front.

18. Cut a border from Tranquil Tide cardstock and adhere to the card front.

19. Cut a flower from Whisper White cardstock and adhere to the card front.

20. Add an enamel dot to the center of the flower.

21. Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

22. Stamp the right side of the panel using Mint Macaron ink.

23. Adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

24. Close the card and open the circle.

25. Stamp the senitment thru the center of the circle using Tranquil Tide ink.

Mini Pocket Scrapbook

Good Morning, Stampers!

I had a dear friend as me to create a little mini scrapbook that she could give to her granddaughter after spending an afternoon at the park. A little something that she can have to remember the time spent together. I love this idea!

The finished size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I punched a 

hole in the upper left corner and added a few coordinating

ribbons as decoration.

I combined both the Sheltering Tree and 

Swirly Scribbles along with the Sunshine Sayings

The Sheltering Tree is the perfect set for a park setting!

Keeping it simple makes it a great little gift!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite Brights Color

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday

Blog Hop! This week, we are sharing our favorite 

color from the Bright's color family!

I used the Basic Black background to help

draw attention to the gorgeous Melon Mambo flowers!

I was so sorry to see the Touches of Texture on the retiring

list - I know it will be replaced by something amazing.

In the meantime, I need to enjoy this set while I can!

To recreate this card:

1. Stamp the Basic Black panel using the splatter image and Whisper White ink.

2. Stamp the corner images using Whisper White ink.

3. Wrap the white polka dot ribbon around the left side of the panel in a knot.

4. Adhere the Basic Black panel to the card front.

5. On Whisper White cardstock, stamp the flower outline image (3x) using Tuxedo Black ink.

6. Stamp the inside of the flowers using Melon Mambo ink. Cut.

7. Stamp the stem image onto Whisper White cardstock  (2x) using Tuxedo Black ink. 

8. Stamp the inside of the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink. Cut.

8. Adhere the leaves and flowers to the card front.

9. Color (9) basic pearls using the Basic Black Stampin'  Blends.

10. Adhere (3) pearls to the center of each flower.

OSAT April Blog Hop - Spring Fling

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the OSAT April Blog Hop - Spring Fling!

The entire design team has some fun and inspirational

projects to share with you. I hope you will visit

them all and get some great ideas for your own projects!

I took the teddy bear face image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas 

stamp set to create the bunny's face in both cards. A little hand drawn

whiskers and Blushing Bride sponged cheeks complete the 

sweet little face! Lots of fussy cutting with the Lined 

Alphabet, but I think it was worth it!

I found this idea on Pinterest using a computer-generated

image. Of course, it's not as fun as stamping

it yourself! I have a little photo below to show how I cut it.
