Last-MInute Card Idea

Good Morning, Stampers!

The Create with Connie and Mary Team will be back next week with another Design Team Blog Hop. In the meantime, I have a last-minute card idea to share with you! It features the Dashing Deer stamp set and coordinating thinlits. If you are like me, you have a lot of leftover pieces of holiday designer papers and adding strips to the card is a great way to utilize them! Do you see the design peeking thru the deer? Using designer paper is fun idea that gives additional pattern and texture without adding more bulk to the card. Give it a try!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Dashing Deer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Dashing Along DSP
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Twine, Detailed Deer thinlits, Tailored Tag Punch

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Winter

Good Morning, Stampers!

We are sharing projects with a winter theme this week
at Create with Connie and Mary! Here in Michigan,
winter can last for several months, so these cards
can be used for just about any occasion through the winter time!

I had fun with this one! I used a little Brusho and water on watercolor
paper to create this one-of-a-kind background.

Once dried, I created a paper mask using snowflakes and
added some embossing paste for a little added texture.

Finally, I finished the card off with a few die cuts and the
sentiment from the Christmas Traditions stamp set.
Lots of layers and textures on this one!

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Christmas Traditions
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Whisper White, Watercolor, Night of Navy, Silver foil
Accessories: Brusho, Stampin' Spritzer, Embossing paste, palatte knives, Swirly Scribbles thinlits, Seasonal Layers thinlits, 1 3/4" circle punch, Clear Epoxy Droplets

PCC Challenge #318 - Holiday Inspiration

Good Morning, Stampers!

Check out this week's Paper Craft Crew Inspiration
Challenge! Inspiration can come from anything at
anytime. I am always finding inspiration when
I am least expecting it! My card for today was inspired
by a card I saw standing in line at the post office.
It was a cute card full of snowmen in the shape of
a tree. I immediately thought it would be fun to
try it out with our adorable little elves from the
Santa's Workshop suite!

Lots of fussy cutting and Stampin' Dimensionals,
but this card was worth it! I think these little
elves are just so cute and festive!
SU!pplies:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Garden Green
Paper: Whisper White, Garden Green, Santa's Workshop

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop - Christmas Favors

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to another fun and exciting Saturday Blog Hop!
This week, we are creating Christmas favors
and the designers have some great ideas to share with you!

This paper gift bag is an "oldie but a goodie"!
It was one of the first projects I demonstrated
when I first started back in 1998!
It's made with a regular brown paper
lunch bag - something we all have in our
kitchen. So grab a bag and I'll show you how it's done!

For my bag, I decided to heat emboss my images.
If you chose to do so, be sure to use your embossing buddy
all over the area you plan to stamp. Otherwise, you will have
powder stuck everywhere!

Stamp your images using Versamark ink. Sprinkle the
powder and heat set. Insert your gift into the bag.
Accordian fold the top of the bag 1/2 way down.
(or enough to fit your gift)  and use a staple to secure in place.

Then, bring up each end and staple the top two
folds together.

HOW FUN!

Finish off your bag by adding a bow to the center
of the bag to hide the staple and a coordinating gift tag.
A pretty presentation for your baked goods or small gift!
SU!pplies:
Stamps: Making Christmas Bright
Ink: Versamark, Merry Merlot
Paper: Very Vanilla, Gold Glimmer
Accessories: Gold Edge ribbon, Mini Gold Sequin Trim, Stitched Labels framelits, Detailed Deer
thinlits, Gold embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, stapler
