CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Punched Backgrounds

 Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the Create with Stampin' Friends
Saturday Blog Hop! This week, the team is creating
backgrounds using punches! We hope you enjoy
what we have to share with you!

I created this wedding card featuring the Petal Park Builder
punch and the Distressed Tile embossing folder with a bit of
a shabby-chic look. I took an old technique with the punched flowers
that give them the look of suede and it's so easy to do!
Simply punch the flowers (or any shape) and crumble them up in your
hand really well. Once you start breaking up the fibers of the
paper, you will see the paper start to pull apart. Gently pull
each flower apart and the inside leaves the paper with a
suede-like texture - so pretty! I then glued them to the
embossed background and added the Metallic Enamel Effects
to the top of each of the flowers. It dries fairly quickly and
leaves the look of shimmery lacquer.
