Create with Stampin' Friends - Pocket Cards

The team is back this week with cards featuring pockets!

These are so much fun and offer not only a fun and unique style, but

can also be used as a gift card or cash holder, too! 

This card features the Reindeer Days designer paper 

and Memories and More pack from the upcoming Holiday 

mini catalog coming September 4th!

To create the pocket, I used a standard 5 1/2' x 8 1/2" card base

and scored it at 4" and 8". Then, I used the little tab to close the

side and added adhesive along the bottom. Finally, I 

cut a half-circle on the open edge for the 3 1/2" x 5" card to 

easily pull in and out of the pocket.

rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge #307

I've got a little Halloween fun for this week's rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge! Grab some of your favorite Halloween stamps and accessories and create with me!

I can't get enough of these darling little ghosts! They are SO CUTE!

I created a dutch door opening for this card. It is perfect for the little 

pumpkin border and all the little ghost friends trick or treating!

Here is a better look at the dutch door. I cut about 2 1/4 in. off

the top of the card base. Such an easy way to create a unique fold.

Paper Craft Crew Weekly Challenge #585

This week's Paper Craft Crew Challenge is a simple
sketch to get us thinking Fall! We hope you'll play along!

I love the detail in the texture of the Changing Leaves

embossing folder. I gave it a little more depth by watercoloring

the background using inks and a water painter. I finished

it off with a few die cut leaves and some copper adhesive sequins.

Reindeer Treats

 Good Morning, Stampers!

Take a peek at the all - new Reindeer Fun bundle coming in September to my online store! This adorable bundle features deer images, dies cuts and holiday sentiments just in time for all your holiday projects making! These treats are great for party favors, table place cards or for a little holiday surprise for a co-worker. Whip up a whole herd in no time! 

The base is super-easy to make. Cut a piece of

cardstock to 3 1/2" x 5" and score at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2"

Fold along the score lines and adhere the flap at the end

with 2-sided tape or liquid glue. I filled this box with a

large Tootsie Roll candy.

Welcome to the Create with Stampin' Friends Saturday 

Blog Hop! This week the team has created some fun

Zig Zag fun folds that we hope will inspire you!

These are so cute and fun! I created a band to keep the 

card folded. You can tie a ribbon around to secure as well.

Here is a photo of what it looks like opened. 

I created a small panel inside for the holiday message.

Start with a 5 1/2" x 12" piece of designer paper.

Score at 2", 4", 8" & 10".

The angle cuts can be any size.

rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge #306

Welcome to this week's rubberFUNatics Weekly Challenge!

The theme this week is to create a fun folding card. These are so 

fun to do and is sure to get a "wow" from the recipient!

This particular style is called a "stair step" because the sides

look like stairs. I began with an 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card base and

used the measurements I listed below. Be sure to cut on the red line

and score on the blue lines. Then just zig zag fold along the score 

lines. You can decorate the card any way you choose!

Watercolor Spritzing Technique

 Good Morning, Stampers!

There are so many techniques to give your card a watercolor effect, and spritzing is an easy way to make that happen! Start with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to help the watercolor move more naturally. Once you stamp the image, spritz it with water using a Stampin’ Spritzer and allow the ink spread a bit before letting it dry. Then, stamp the image again on top. Make sure it’s completely dry before you adhere the image to a card base. And voilà—you’ve got a fun, abstract watercolor look! Finish off your projects with a few little coordinating embellishments.

To create the center, cut a 1" x 11" strip and score every 2 3/4".

Then, add (4) 2 1/4" squares in between each score line.
