CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Shades of Blue

Good Morning, Stampers!

The Create with Connie and Mary team is in week 3

of songs with colors in the title. Can you guess what

today is? If you guessed Blue Bird, you are correct!

I created this fun fold card using the Garden Birdhouses 

stamp set in Pacific Point. It's such a beautiful and vibrant shade of 

blue blue. For this card, I stamped the image using Jet Black Stazon

ink and colored using a blender pen and inks. I love the watercolor look!

Here's the inside. It leaves just enough space for a quick note!

To create this fun fold:

1. Cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Pacific Point panel.

2. Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel.

3. Cut (2) 3" x 4" pieces of Pacific Point designer paper.

4. Along the 3" side, score at 1" on each piece. Fold along the score line.

5. Stamp the tree branch and birds onto the panel using Jet Black Stazon ink.

6. Color the tree branch using Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake inks and blender pen.

7. Color the birds using Pacific Point and blender pen.

8. Adhere the designer paper to the top and bottom of the panel along the fold.

9. Bring both ends to the center to form a point and adhere.

10. Adhere the stamped panel to the Pacific Point panel.

11. Cut a Basic White Stitched Rectangle.

12. Stamp the tree branch, birds, birdhouse and sentiment using Jet Black Stazon ink. 

13. Color the images using a blender pen.

14. Center the rectangle and adhere to the TOP POINT only.

15. Punch a 1/2" circle from Pacific Point cardstock and adhere just below the rectangle using

      a Stampin' Dimensional. Tuck the bottom of the rectangle behind the circle to keep the card closed.

15. Cut a 10" piece of White Crinkle Ribbon and color using a Pacific Point Stampin' Write marker.

      Let dry completely.

16. Tie a bow in the ribbon and adhere to the circle using glue dots.
