I dug deep into my dollar store stash and found this
6" wooden canning jar left over from the holidays last year.
I had every intention of trying to incorporate the NEW
Jar of Love stamp set into it, but it didn't quite work the
way I had wanted it to, so I went with Plan B...
At first glance, it looks like I added white embossing
paste to it. NOPE! It is the NEW In Good Taste designer
series paper coming in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog
on Wednesday. Check out that detail!! If you like this pattern,
wait til you see the rest!
Here are the details:
1. Carefully remove the twine and lightly sand the glitter off of the wood.
2. Trace the wood onto the designer paper and trim.
3. Adhere the paper to the wood using Multi-purpose liquid glue.
4. To create the lid, trace the top of the jar onto silver foil paper. Trim.
5. Using a sharpie, add lines to the top of the lid.
6. Emboss the lid using the Hammered Metal embossing folder.
7. Adhere to the top of the jar.
8. Sponge Gray Granite ink all around the edge of the jar.
9. Add the twine back to the top of the jar.
10 Cut a Whisper White stitched oval and stamp the nest (2x) using Crumb Cake ink.
11. Adhere the oval to the jar - letting it hang off 1/2".
12. Cut the leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock and adhere to the oval.
13. Cut the branch from Soft Seafoam cardstock and adhere to the oval.
14. Cut the sentiment from Early Espresso cardstock and adhere to a 5/8" strip of
Whisper White cardstock.
15. Trim the strip using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
16. Cut a branch border from Silver Foil paper.
17. Trim and adhere to the backside of the strip.
18. Adhere to the jar using Stampin' Dimensionals.
19. Cut a bird from Pool Party cardstock.
20. Trace the bird onto Early Espresso cardstock and cut.
21. Adhere the two pieces of the bird together.
22. Adhere the bird above the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals.
23. Stamp (3) flowers onto Whisper White cardstock using Blushing Bride ink. Cut.
24. Adhere the flowers to the jar using Stampin' Dimensionals.
25. Cut (3) small flowers from Blushing Bride cardstock and adhere to the center of the
flowers.
26. Adhere a pearl to the center of each flower.
