We are featuring One Layer Cards this week at
Create with Connie and Mary!
These type of cards are great for when you need to make
many multiples of a card, are new to stamping, are in a time crunch,
or just want a quick and easy card!
They can be very simple or you can
step them up - either way, they can be fabulous!
These cards are a little trick for the eye! The card on the left looks
like a stamped oval adhered to the center and the card on the right looks
like the white oval has been added on top of the stamping.
NOPE! I cut a piece of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" plain white copy paper
and then cut a large oval out of the center. I placed the piece
with the oval cut out onto the card on the left and stamped the flowers
and leaves in the opening. When the paper is removed, you are left with
just the stamping in the middle. For the card on the right, I set the oval onto
the lower right corner of the card and stamped all around it.
Once done, I removed the oval and was left with the entire card stamped in all
but the oval. Two great looks with one easy cut out! Try it out for yourself!
