CCMC Color Challenge #256

Good Morning, Stampers!

It's a color challenge this week at Create with Connie and Mary! I have to be honest, this was a BIG challenge for me this week - I struggled with this combination!

I tried several different ideas before deciding on this card. It's funny how some color combinations are so simple and other's are not. I guess that's what challenges are all about, right?!

I began with the Flowering Flourish and sentiment in Early Espresso. Then I stamped the flowers using the 2-step stamp set Stippled Blossoms in Summer Starfruit and Island Indigo.

Next, the lace embossing folder along the bottom adds just a bit of daintyness to the bold colors of the card. Finally, I used the Itty Bitty circle punch on the bottom left of the card fold to thread the Summer Starfruit ribbon thru.

Stamps: Flowering Flourishes, Stippled Blossoms, Lots of Thanks

Your card is so striking! The espresso flourishes and leaves truly ground your flowers and really make them pop! Great details with the embossing folder and ribbon (I forget about doing that!.. I need to remember, lol!)

Oh my goodness! This card is beautiful! I love how you used the flourish behind the flowers to add to the "viney" look. Great card!
