Embossed Ties

Good Morning, Stampers!

I saw a fun idea at the Salt Lake City Regionals last month that I thought would be great to have  my Stamp Club members try it out this past week. It features heat embossing and is really easy to do!

I began with a River Rock card base.

1. Using the embossing buddy, rub the entire card front.
2. Take a Versamark ink pad and rub it across the front of the card.
3. Add Early Espresso embossing powder and heat set.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with Tangerine Tango and Cherry Cobbler embossing powders.
5. Allow to cool.
6. Rub the entire card front again with the embossing buddy.
7. Ink the tie image with Versamark ink and stamp on top of the embossed colors.
8. Sprinkle with Whisper White embossing powder.
9. Heat set.
10. Ink the sentiment in Versamark and sprinkle Early Espresso embossing powder.
11. Heat set.

That's it! Easy, huh?! For the emvelope, I inked the tie image with Versamark and stamped.
I sprinkled a little bit of each of the embossing powder colors and heat set.

I love the abstract look. It is very forgiving as the embossing is not perfect and the image is stamped a bit off-center. Can't go wrong with this one - a fun and fast embossed card!
