Welcome to the first week of the Saturday Challenge for the Create with Connie and Mary 2013 Spring Occasions Edition! To start things off, we have a fun and attractive color combination for you today!
1. To begin, I embossed and sanded the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder on the new Pool Party Core'dinations Cardstock.
2. Secondly, I punched a 1 3/8" circle from the Primrose Petals DSP and adhered it to a Tea Lace doily. I then adhered the doily along the left side of the card and trimmed.
3. I stamped the girl image with a Basic Black and Real Red marker and stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock. I cut it out with the Label framelit.
4. To add the "raining flowers", I colored the stamp with Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Real Red markers. The sentiment in Basic Black ink.
5. Layer the stamped image with a Basic Black Label Framelit and adhere it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
6. Finally, I added several little Itty Bitty Flowers in the challenge colors and added a little rhinestone to the center of each. They are adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. For the finishing touch, I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the rain boots for an added "pop" of shimmer and glam!

This is the nicest card I've seen made with this set - and I LOVE the red boots!
I never would have thought that Pool Party goes with the Red... but it looks great!
I am totally diggin' your card. I love the layout and how you combined the stamp image with the dimensional flowers--it's all perfect. Smiles, Ebeth
