I love that the Sizzix dies can be used for more than just paper! Take the Holiday Stocking die (124098 $32.95) from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I had an old pair of blue jeans my son had outgrown and I knew just what I wanted to do with them. The denim looks so good with the Springtime Vintage fabric (121817 $9.95) so I paired them together to come up with this vintage-looking stocking:
The trim is done using Victoria Crochet trim (118481 $6.95) which just adds to the vintage-look. I tried to get as close to the edge when sewing as having a seam does cut down the finished size of the stocking. Although there is still plenty of room to tuck a few candy canes or gift card inside!Happy Stampin'!
