What's the Hoop La La??

Good Morning, Stampers!

I LOVE this sketch that Connie and Mary have for us this week! It is simple and clean - my kind of sketch!

I finally got a chance to play around with the stamp set Hoop La La from the Idea Book and Catalog. I used to cross stitch many years ago, but now I stamp-stitch! SO much easier!

I began by stamping a small piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock with the Netting background stamp in River Rock ink. I punched that out using a 1 3/4" circle punch. I stamped the cross-stitched flower image using Regal Rose, Lucky Limeade and Soft Suede ink. On a separate piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock, I stamped the hoop in Soft Suede and cut it out. I adhered the cross-stitched flower image to the hoop from the back. I adhered a piece of 3 1/2" squared Natural's Ivory cardstock to the front of a River Rock scalloped square card. I adhered the hoop to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. The needle ( I LOVE this!) was stamped using a Lucky Limeade and Basic Gray marker. Finally, I added a piece of Tea for Two DSP to the card front. The button is layered with a 7/8" scallops circle embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder and a 1/2" Ivory Natural's circle. It is all adhered to the card front with glue dots and a Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine bow.
