OSAT Blog Hop - NEW HOP - NEW YEAR - NO RULES!

Good Morning, Stampers!!

Welcome to the January's No Rules One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop!
I was just THRILLED to be asked to participate with this amazing
group of talented stampers! I am looking forward to sharing
my projects with you over the next several months!

Since the theme this month is No Rules, I thought I would highlight
my favorite stamp set of the NEW Occasions Catalog - Bloomin' Love!

I kept this card soft and simple. I love the muted colors -
it gives a bit of a vintage/romantic feel.
A perfect Valentine card for your love!

Here are the basics:
I started with a Very Vanilla card base. I stamped the heart image in Blushing Bride (stampin' off first). Then, I stamped the sentiment on top using Early Espresso ink. (5) flowers were stamped separately on Very Vanilla cardstock using Blushing Bride ink and cut. The heart image and XOXO were stamped in Crumb Cake ink. The flowers were then adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals with pearls attached to the centers..Finally, the banner and sentiment were stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink and cut, A small strip of crochet trim was added to the back of the banner and the banner was then adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals.

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Crochet trim, Bloomin Heart Thinlits

I stumbled upon this wooden heart ornament at the craft store
right before Christmas. There were several lonely hearts left, and of
course, I snagged them all up! I knew they would make a
fabulous Valentine project with the NEW Occasions products!

And they did! I actually created this for my downline project
at our last meeting. I love hanging little reminders of LOVE
around the house and this is a great addition to my Valentine decor!
I think it would be nice as a bag tag or package topper, too!
Makes a sweet little keepsake.

Here are the details:
I inked the wooden heart with Pool Party ink directly on top. Then, I covered it with 2-way glue and sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds glitter - SO SPARKLY! The insert was traced onto the Birthday Bouquet designer paper and adhered to the center of the heart. I added the gold doily with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered a strip of Blushing Bride cardstock punched with the hearts border punch.(2) flowers stamped with Pool Party ink on Whisper White paper and cut were added with Stampin' Dimensionals as well. The little Whisper White banner was added with the stamped sentiment in Early Espresso ink. Finally, the numbers were cut from the new Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and the gold cord was added for the hanger.

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Early Espresso, Pool Party
Paper: Whisper White, Birthday Bouquet, Blushing Bride, Blushing Bride Glimmer
Accessories: Heart Border punch, Gold Doily, Bloomin Love thinlits, Little Number Thinlits

Happie Stampin'!
~Melissa
