Poinsettia Take Out Box

Good Morning, Stampers!

Welcome to the Week 1 design Team Blog Hop!
Each Saturday through out the Holiday Edition, the Design Team will
showcase 3D boxes featuring products they used during the week. First up: Take Out Boxes

Now if you have arrived from Mary Brown's blog, you are hopping in the right direction! If not, no worries, you can start here and still make the rounds!

Yesterday, I showed you four cards featuring the Four Feather stamp set.
Did you know that feathers can be used for poinsettias, too?!

I kept the decorations on the box to a simple piece of Nordic Noel Designer
Series Paper and Mossy Meadow ribbon. The Poinsettia was created by stamping
(9) small feathers in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock.
Then, I took a 1 1/4" scrap card stock circle and glued
each of the feathers onto the circle in a circular format. Then, I cut out (9) small feathers from
Cherry Cobbler Glimmer Paper and glued them to the right of each feather/petal. Adds a
lot of shimmer that you just can't see in the photo.

For the top of the flower, I stamped the large feather using
Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock. Then, I punched                                                                a 3/4" circle from the center. I adhered that to a 1" circle from                                                             Cherry Cobbler Glimmer paper and adhered both pieces to the center
of the flower using a Stampin' Dimensional.

Wow! I wonder how wide is the flower? I don't have the box or the feathers so I can't conceptualize the size of the project, but I sure do like it! TFS!
