CCMC 237 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning, Stampers!

It's a fabulous Thursday over at Create with Connie and Mary with the interesting sketch challenge they have for today! Have you seen what all of the Designers have come up with? It is amazing how everyone interprets these sketches differently and yet they are all incredibly unique!

I challenged myself to use a set that I have been neglecting since the Spring Occasions Mini made it's way into my hands! I chose to use Field Flowers because it looks great no matter what colors are used! I especially love it in the Perfect Plum- YUM!

I began by cutting my Perfect Plum card base to 5 1/2" square. Then, using Perfect Plum ink, I stamped the doily stamp on the left side of the card front.

I wrapped the card using the Perfect Plum Taffeta ribbon - this ribbon ties so nicely!

I stamped the focal image using Always Artichoke and Perfect Plum onto a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped (3) extra flowers and cut them out.

I took the stamped square and cut it 3/4" x 1 3/4" to create the window look. I adhered it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, I added the flowers with additional Stampin' Dimensionals and finished it off with the little stamped tag tucked under the bow.

SU!pplies:
Stamps: Doily, Field Flowers
Ink: Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke
Paper: Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Perfect Plum Taffeta ribbon,

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN! Let's see what you can come up with using this week's sketch!

Be sure to post your creation on Create with Connie and Mary! While you are there, why not subscribe to the 2013 Spring Edition? The projects we have seen so far are EXCLUSIVE - you won't see them anywhere else! AND they are A M A Z I N G!! Best of all, they all come with full-color, step-by-step tutorials! There is still time to join and enjoy all of the projects!

Happy Stampin'!
~Melissa

I always neglect the big catalog when a new mini comes out. This set is one of my favorites, though. Love how you used the Perfect Plum with it and cut up the background, then added the flowers over top! Great job with the sketch!

I was thinking the same thing this week...so much on my shelves have been neglected lately due to the Mini Catalogs. Glad to see how you used some of my favorite stamps. Love the purples!
