Good Morning, Stampers!

It is hard to believe that this is the last Sketch Challenge for the Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog Edition... Where did the time go??
This final sketch challenge is a fun one! I needed a baby card for a dear friend and knew that this sketch would be perfect. I wanted just a little "frill" and the embossed lace does just that!

I started out by embossing (2) strips of So Saffron using the Delicate Designs lace folder. I adhered the two strips to the So Saffron card front. I then attached the Neutrals Polka Dot DSP to the center. On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the image from the Two by Two a la carte stamp using Jet Black Stazon ink. I watercolored using a blender pen and So Saffron, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Basic Gray, Marina Mist and Pumpkin Pie inks. I finished the card by mounting the stamped image to a Whisper White Scallop Circle using dimensionals. I added (3) little flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes in Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray & So Saffron and topped them each with a little pearl.
The senitment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set stamped in Jet Black Staz On and cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits.

Supplies:

Stamps: Two By Two (126788 - $8.95), Itty Bitty Banners (w126255 $15.95 - c126257 $11.95)

Ink: So Saffron, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Jet Black Stazon

Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, Neutrals DSP (117157 $21.95)

Accessories: Delicate Designs embossing folders, Blender Pens, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Scallop Circle punch, Circle punch.

Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the rest of the Designers have created for you today! Be sure to play along with the sketch challenge for a chance to win!

A HUGE THANK YOU and Carry On....

Good Morning, Stampers!
As you all know, this past week at Convention has been filled with fun, excitement, friends and of course, stamping! One of the things Stampin' Up! does at Convention is recognize the achievements of their Demonstrators by honoring them during Awards night.

This year I was blessed to receive several awards and I am truly grateful to all of you for making that possible! I received awards for Sales and Recruiting as well as earning the Hilton Head Island Getaway trip! I am so thrilled beyond words and I have all of you to thank for that! THANK YOU!!!

To show my appreciation, I am including a special gift - our fun, new STAMPIN' DAZZLING MARKER from the Holiday Mini Catalog for all product orders* placed between now and July 31st!  Your Holiday cards are sure to "WOW" with these fabulous pens!

Simply place a product order* either in my ONLINE STORE or directly thru me and I will include a Stampin' Dazzling Marker in the color of your choice! That's it! (Note: Dazzling Marker will arrive separately for online orders and will be included in all orders on/after August 1st). THANKS AGAIN!!

(*Orders do not include kits or orders placed before July 24th)

Now Carry On....

On June 14, the discovery of legal issues with the Carry On Hostess Stamp Set (w126645 - c126647) resulted in our turning the set off. Our legal department has since reviewed these issues, and starting today this set is available for ordering again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. You can find this stamp set in the Hostess Benefits section on page 203 of the Annual Catalog...ORDER ON!!

Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Challenge NC-5

Good Morning, Stampers!

Today we are winding up our last week of the Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog Edition. I can't believe it has been 5 weeks since we first started! Boy, how time flies! There have been some truly amazing projects from this edition, don't you think?!

This past week had been so much fun as it is Designer's Choice week! We have focused on new catalog stamp sets that we did not use during the New Catalog Edition along with the sketch below. I chose one of my new super-favorite sets called Postage Due from page 108 of the catalog.
Have you seen this stamp set? It is gorgeous!

I started with a piece of 8 1/2 x11" cardstock and cut it in half lengthwise. I folded the card in half and using Basic Gray ink, I stamped the card base by first stamping off the ink. Then I took a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and embossed it using the Delicate Designs embossing folder cut and adhered it to the card front. Using the Finishing Touches edgelit, I cut a piece of So Saffron cardstock and adhered it to the card front. Stamp the (3) postage images in Basic Gray and So Saffron ink. Wrap a piece of Whisper White ribbon and tie in a bow.Punch using the postage punch and adhered the pieces to the card front using dimensionals.

For the flower, I punched (2) flowers from the Bojo Blossoms punch and So Saffron cardstock. After scrunching the flowers, peel the layers apart. Put (4)flower pieces together and secure with a brad. Adhere the flower to the card using a glue dot.

Even though we are at the end remember this edition focused on our wonderful NEW catalog so the ideas are good all year as we wrote them AND we keep the edition live for a year after the edition is over so you can come back and get reinspired throughout the year! It is not to late to join! Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary to subscribe!

Supplies:
Stamps: Postage Due
Ink: So Saffron, Basic Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Gray, So Saffron
Accessories: Ribbon, BoHo Blossom Punch, Postage Punch,  Delicate Designs embossing folder, brads, Finishing Touches edgelits

I will be adding MORE Convention highlights soon!

Fast & Fabulous Friday from Convention!

Good Morning, Stampers!
What a fantastic first day of Convention 2012! We began the morning with the General Session and a warm welcome from Shelli Gardner herself,  followed by Jason Ryan Dorsey who spoke about the Powers of  Generations. He had us in stitches as he talked about how the different generations effect our Stampin' Up! businesses.

Then we broke out into our classes. I always look forward to the classes and learn new ideas & helpful hints from fellow Demonstrators as well as the Corporate Team Members. I always leave the classes feeling inspired & motivated!

Here are some of the highlights from the first day:

The stage was set & the music playing...

A fun dance to the Convention theme song "I AM". Very catchy! I had it stuck in my head all day!

Shelli with her Convention Welcome...

Convention would not be the same if Shelli didn't do some stamping herself!

Here is the project she demonstrated - SO PRETTY and SO SHELLI!!

Of course prizes are always involved, too! And I won!!

Here is my prize - MDS software, ribbon & Dazzling Details! Yeah ME!

More display boards with samples from the You're Amazing stamp set from page 33.

We finished off the day with Awards! I got to walk across the stage as a winner of the Weekend Get-A-WAY incentive trip to Hilton Head! Afterward, we celebrated in the after-party complete with a DJ & Desserts!
And finally, my Fast & Fabulous Friday project for you!

It is a sneek peek at a fun Halloween stamp called Googly Goohls set in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. The finished card size is 3"x3". A great little card to give with a Halloween treat!

Thanks for stopping by today! I will update more convention details soon!

Happy Stampin'!
