Santa Trap

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have seen so many adorable ideas using mouse traps on Pinterest lately. I know, I do spend a little bit too much time scoping, but there really are a lot of cute and unique ideas there!

My local hardware store had a pretty decent selection of mouse traps, but then my eye caught this huge rat trap. I really liked the size better as I could fit a lot more and there is even plenty of space to write a note. I got a really strange (and silent) look from the cashier (lol!) I was just thankful I was buying it to alter and not to use it for it's real purpose! That cashier would never understand :o)

I measured and cut the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper (126908 $10.95) to fit and adhered it using Multipurpose Glue (110755 $3.95). I inked the edges a bit with Soft Suede ink and a sponge dauber. I stamped Santa from the exclusive Hostess stamp set Christmas Wishes (w127982 - c127985) onto Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede ink. I then stamped another Santa image onto Whisper White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink. I cut the hat off and adhered it to the first Santa image. I finished it off by adding some scrap pieces of coordinating ribbon at the top and a little white pom pom on the end of the hat.

SU!pplies:

Stamps: Christmas Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Various ribbons, sponge dauber, little white pom pom, Snow Festival DSP, Rat Trap

Happy Stampin'
~Melissa
