Simply Scored is Simply a must!

I have had so much fun playing around with my Simply Scored scoring tool. The Simply Scored takes all of the guess-work out of scoring your designs & 3-d projects!

First, I started by scoring on a diagonal onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Then, I added several diamond shaped (scrap) pieces of silver glimmer paper (124005 $4.95) from the Sizzix Snowflake # 2 (113460 $15.95). (Those who know me know I save all my scraps!)

I adhered them randomly all around the card.

I have a fun paper-weaving technique to share with you today. I cut lots of Whisper White cardstock into 1/4" strips. weaved them all together & then stamped onto it. Yes, a bit time consuming but SO MUCH FUN!!

*Tip: It helps if you add a small bit of adhesive to the backside before stamping. This will keep the strips from slipping...Happy weaving!

I received this card in the mail yesterday from my sister & fellow demo - Madonna. I thought it was too cute not to share! I love how she used the flames from the Cupcake Builder punch (121807 $16.95) for the flames above the "w" and turned it into a candelabra. Too cute & so creative!

I have a fun BIGSHOT project to share with you! Take a look at this adorable Bulletin Board:

Instructions

1. Adhere background fabric to canvas.
2. Die cut lattice shapes from fabric using Big Shot and Lattice Bigz die. Adhere to fabric in rows.
3. Adhere Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain ribbon to fabric in crisscross pattern.

4. Attach 5/8" Jumbo brads where ribbon intersects.

5. Adhere Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain ribbon around outside edges of canvas.
6. Die cut six large and six small butterflies using Big Shot and Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die. Create double-sided butterflies by adhering butterflies together, resulting in three large and three small double-sided butterflies.

7. Tie linen thread around the middle leaving two long ends for antennae. Attach butterflies to canvas using push pins.

I started with the Baja Breeze card from the Everyday Elegance kit. I cut between the scallops as shown here:

A few little embellishments- A snowflake from the Sizzix Northern Frost Decorative Strip (120901 $21.95) and a large rhinestone (119246 $4.95) popped in the center along with the little "Merry" sentiment from Tiny Tags (w118091 $22.95- c118592 $16.95) punched from the jewelry tag punch (117190 $10.95) and I have a great tag for a holiday package or a little note card to slip into a gift bag!

Savor the Season

I created today's project using the exclusive Hostess-only digital ensemble called Savor the Season (127752 $16 hostess dollars) for the My Digital Studio software. November Framed Art

Good Morning, Stampers!

Yesterday, I showed you a Fast & Fabulous technique to make colorful fall leaves. Today's project uses the same technique along with a little paper-weaving. I created this for my November Framed Art class on Monday, Nov. 7th @ 7pm. The class fee is $10 or FREE with a $25 order! A Fast & Fabulous Technique!

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a Fast & Fabulous technique to share with you today! The colors here in Michigan have been so pretty these last few weeks. I know it won't last too much longer so I have decided to capture the color for as long as I can! Take a look at these beautiful leaves:

Did I capture the color? It looks really hard but it is actually so simple! All you need to get this stunning look is your heat tool, some clear embossing powder & inks... Here are the step by step instructions:

1. Stamp the leaves in Chocolate Chip CRAFT ink (pigment) onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
2. Heat emboss using clear embossing powder. Let cool.
3. Using a sponge dauber, rub various Classic Ink colors in a circular motion. Here I used Pool Party, More Mustard, Always Artichoke & Tangerine Tango.
4. Cut out the leaves & use on your project!

I have been having so much fun making these the last few days! Here I added them to a card for my downline swap this week. I just LOVE how the color "pops"!!

Stamp Press Cookie Ornament

I have started to get into the Holiday decorating mode this past week. I can't believe it is that time again! I decided to try playing around with the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps and a bit of Crayola Model Magic to see what I could come up with.. This Model Magic is so easy to work with and when I press the cookie stamps into the air clay, it makes a beautiful impression! Take a look:

Once the Model Magic was set, I added a bit of Silver Rub n' Buff to the top. I adhered the snowflake to a Silver Glimmer (124005 $4.95) scallop circle #2 (113469 $19.95) to make a fun little ornament for the tree! The center has a large rhinestone (119246 $4.95) for a bit of added sparkle and I topped it off with a few pieces of ribbon for hanging! Fun, fast & simple holiday ornaments!

Weekly 3/$5 Class - Fun Folds

Good Morning, Stampers!

This week's 3/$5 class is all about the unique ways to fold a card. The top card is a panel card (doesn' t open) with a little accordian message that ties shut. The second card is an easel card. It is propped up so that the front of the card is on display. The third card is a twisted explosion card. Each card is sized to fit into a regular A2 envelope.

I entered this project in the Stampin' Success (a Demonstrator-only monthly magazine) contest for November last month and it wasn't a winner.... boo hoo for me (lol!) but I am happy that I can share it with all of you now! I have been on a bit of a "canvas art" kick these last few month's. Canvas is so easy to work with and comes in tons of sizes, shapes & thicknesses..

Fabulous Friday!

Good Morning, Stampers!

Get out your circle punches - it's time for a Fast & Fabulous Friday project! Create this adorable flower using layers of circles..Here's how:



In coordinating colors, punch out (1) 1 3/4" circle, (3) 1 3/8" circles, & (1) 1" circle. Ink the edges of each circle. Now, snip all the way around each circle.

Using your fingers or a bone folder, gently curl the ends of each circle getting tighter as the circle gets smaller. Begin to layer the circles starting with the 1 3/4", then the (3) 1 3/8" and finally the 1". Adhere to your project. You can curl the edges a bit more once the flower is adhered to your project.

Pennant Christmas Tree

I have another Stamp Club project to share with you today. With the Holidays coming up fast, this is a great little project that makes a fun & tasty treat!

Notice the RED rhinestones? YES, they are Stampin' Up! rhinestones! I just simply colored the rhinestones with a permanent marker! With all of the wonderful colors that are out there, you can have many sizes of rhinestones in every color of the rainbow!

Supplies Needed:

A Stamp Club Exclusive

Good Morning, Stampers!

One of the great perks about being in my Stamp Club is that the projects I create are exclusive to members-only. It means you won't find the projects offered in any of my classes or kits. This week my Stamp Clubs are meeting and this is one of the projects I designed for them. It features the Heat Embossed Embossing Folder technique. Doesn't this look fabulously eerie for Halloween??

To recreate this technique:

1. Ink your embossing folder with Versamark ink in the "logo side" of the embossing folder. (Note: bold impressions work best)
2. Place your cardstock into the embossing folder and run thru your Big Shot.
3. Sprinkle your cardstock with Basic Black embossing powder & heat.

That's it!!

This week's 3/$5 class is Halloween themed! It is hard to believe that the little kiddos will be out trick or treating in just a couple of weeks!

I created these cards on a bit of a larger scale thinking that they would be great on a scrapbook page, too!
