Fabulous Friday!

Good Morning, Stampers!

It's Friday! Time for another FABULOUS FRIDAY project!

Can you remember as a child, linking all of those red & green pieces of construction paper together to decorate your Christmas tree? Or maybe you linked them together as a countdown to the Holiday Season? Well, I have a new twist on an old idea to share with you today - take a look:
Doesn't this look SO much better than just a simple piece of paper? I LOVE the look that the Lace Ribbon Border punch (122362 $19.95) gives to this! SO PRETTY! I used the In-Colors Poppy Parade & Lucky Limeade, but I think it would be beautiful in any color combination!

Each piece of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock gives you approximately 8 strips when you punch along the 8 1/2" side.

Happy Stampin' (& punching!)

Snowglobe Holiday Tag

Good Morning, Stampers!

I recently participated in a Holiday Tag swap with some fellow Demonstrators to get some ideas for the upcoming holidays. I chose to use the Sweet Snowglobe a la carte stamp (120868 $8.95) along with the adorable little marshamallow man from Merry Winter (w122700 $19.95 - c122702 $14.95). I used Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke because I just love the rich colors and although they are typical Christmas colors, they are not the first colors you think of when it comes to snowmen. The Champagne Glass Glitter (120997 $3.95) is the perfect finish for added sparkle!

3/$5 Class - Lovely Leaves

Good Morning, Stampers!

This week's theme for my 3/$5 class is Lovely Leaves. I found a lot of inspiration from Ruth & Pam's cards on Stampin' Connection - Stampin' Up!'s Demo-Only site. I love the out-of-the box pointsettia idea using leaves! Any leaf punch, die or Designer Paper would work for this. It justifies my purchase a little better when I can use a product for more than what it is intended for!

The class is offered on Monday's from 9am - 10am or Wednesday's from 10am - 11am. Please call the Center directly to reserve your spot - 248-573-8175.

Jack of All Snowmen

Good Morning, Stampers!

I was browsing thru a craft magazine and came across a pumpkin snowman. I loved the idea so I made it into a card! I used my favorite Halloween set - Jack of All Trades (w122620 $23.95 - c122622 $17.95) to create the snowman. I had an extra sentiment (Its A Wrap Holidays w122770 $27.95 - c122772 $19.95) from my order thank you's (no wasting!) so I added that to the card, too! The arms were made from the snowflake punch (119852 $16.95) So much fun!

Fast & Fabulous Friday - Masking

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a fun card to share with you today. It features the masking technique & looks like it is difficult, but actually, you can complete this in under 5 minutes!!

First of all, you will want to create your "mask". I simply cut a square out of a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" copy weight paper leaving a 1" border all the way around. You can easily do this with a paper trimmer. It can also be done by hand, too. Once you have your mask cut, place it on top of your card.

Now the fun begins! Choose your stamps - here, I began with the Netting background stamp (122655 $17.95) in Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the various images from the French Foliage stamp set (w120845 $19.95 - c121166 $14.95) using Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, Ridinghood Red. Once complete, I removed the mask. On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the large leaf in More Mustard and trimmed it out. I added a couple of dimensionals to the leaf to make it really stand out. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370 $36.95).

Its a Wrap - not just for candy...

Good Morning, Stampers!

I love the idea of stamping an image and wrapping it around small little chocolate candies. I love it even more when it can be used for something other than what it is intended for! It makes it that much easlier to justify the purchase - at least that is what I tell myself - hee hee! I made these cards using the It's a Wrap Holidays stamp set (w122770 $27.95 - c122772 $19.95) along with my favorite pumpkin set Jack of All Trades (w122620 $23.95 - c122622 $17.95) for my customers who place an order with me in September. Each one has a coordinating piece of Frightful Sight DSP (122351 $10.95) and matching ribbon...

Create Wooden Tray

Good Morning, Stampers!

I found a great deal at my local dollar store not too long ago. These little wooden trays are a lot like the Altered Artisits Trays that are all of the rage right now. You could easily paint the trays with some acrylic paint but I chose to keep this one natural. Our Mocha Morning DSP (122366 $12.95) is a perfect fit when combined with the Creative Elements stamp set (w122645 $32.95 - c122647 $24.95). I shipped this beauty out to my sister - hope she receives it before she sees this post - lol! * The Soft Suede polka dot ribbon is retired. It can easily be substituted, tho!

From Drab to FAB!

Good Morning, Stampers!

I came across these soft & warm slippers at the store the other day. Problem was, the little pink bows weren't doin' it for me.. So, with a few snips with the scissors, some Timeless Portrait fabric (122377 $9.95) and my Big Shot....
I created these FABULOUS little gems:

MUCH better, don't you think?? Any flower Sizzix die will work for a project like this. I inserted an Antique Brad (117273 $5.95) in the center of each & adhered the flowers with a pin so that I can take them off to wash.

Candy Clip

Good Morning, Stampers!

The theme for my Stamp Club swap this month was HALLOWEEN. I created this little clip to be used on a candy bar or treat bag. The clip is actually an inexpensive clothes pin covered in the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (124339 $10.95). The cute little owl comes from the exclusive Hostess stamp set Warmest of Wishes (w122670 $13 - c122672 $10). Schedule your workshop or catalog party to earn this adorable stamp set!
