Garbage Picker??

Good Morning, Stampers!

Way back before Christmas, I was driving home and spotted this at the side of the road. I have NEVER stopped to pick thru someone else's trash before, but when I saw this I instantly knew what I wanted to do with it. So, I turned the car around and put it in and took it home. There it sat for month's.. The other day, my son was looking for something to do. I totally remembered that door & off to the hardware store we went! I found this fun crackle technique & had him get right to work...

And here are the results... what do you think?? I now have a great place to showcase my cards!
He did such a great job!! Just in time for my New Catalog Open House!!

Strength & Hope Scrapbook

Good Morning, Stampers!

I created this scrapbook layout as an alternate to the card kit for the Stamp Out Breast Cancer fundraiser. Lots of space for photos from Relay for Life or to dedicate to a loved one who has been diagnosed with this horrible disease.. Although all of my card & scrapbook kits have sold out, you can still purchase the Strength & Hope stamp set (w118100 $17.95 - c123660 $13.95) thru August 31st. I will include both kit instructions with each stamp set sold.

Also: Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from the sale of each stamp set to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Good Morning, Stampers!

Each month I hold a class in Framed Art. I thought it would be a fun idea for my son's teacher to make a personalized one for her to show my appreciation for all she has done this past school year. This is what I came up with:

Not one stamp was used in the making of this project. Unbelievable - I know! The most amazing thing is that it all came together in less than 30 minutes! The background is a piece of retired DSP. The rest is done with punches & die cuts. It makes a great addition to her classroom!

Fast & Fabulous Friday!

It is FRIDAY!! I have a Fast & Fabulous embellishment to share with you today!

One of my newest, most favoritest (is that a word??) Sizzix dies is the Perfect Pennants (123126 $32.95) from the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. If you placed an order with me during June, you will receive a free sample in your bag! Here is an easy embellisment to really "WOW" your projects:

Begin with the larger of the two scallop circles on Whisper White cardstock.
(Either size will work for this idea)


After die cutting, run the scallop circle thru the Sizzix again using the Northern Flurry embossing folder (120902 $7.95)


Next, weave 1/8" Taffeta ribbon (or any ribbon of your choice) all the way around the circle. Tie in a bow. That's it!! Here, I took it a step further and added a snowflake from the Northern Frost decorative strip die (120901 $21.95) and covered it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter (102023 $4.50)
Here is the finished embellishment on a card.

A very special lady (and fellow Demonstrator) lost her husband this past week. This is a card I made for her to let her know she is in my thoughts & prayers.

The cross is made using a combination of the Scallop Trim Corner (118870 $9.95) & Border punches (118402 $15.95).

Wacky Wednesday

Now that school is out, my weekly 3/$5 classes are held in my home. We meet every Wednesday morning from 10am - 11am. We create 3 quick & easy cards in less than an hour for only $5.
