September Frame Art

Here is the sample for the September Frame Art Class. The theme is "FALL". When I think of Fall, I think of apple picking, sunflowers & all the changes in the leaves. That was my inspiration for this design:

The flannel-looking panels with the faux-stitching & the different textures give that "warm-feeling". The class is on Monday, September 6th @ 7pm. The fee is $15 with a frame or $10 w/o. Please call to reserve your space. You can also order this as a kit!

Clean & Elegant Embossing

Today's card is the Make & Take that I did for Sue's party yesterday. Sue requested that I show some different techniques using heat embossing. I LOVE the new Elegant Lines Embossing folder (119277 - $7.95) and how it coordinates beautifully with the Always Elegant stamp set (w116976 $14.95 - c120477 $11.95). The Clear Rhinestones add a perfect sparkle to finish it off.

Simply Adorned

Not too long ago I decided that I just had to have the Simply Adorned Chain & Charm. Has that every happened to you? You see something & you just "got to have it"?? lol!

Well, I have been "on the fence" about these for the longest time, but I finally took the plunge & boy, am I glad I ever did!

I opted for the 1x 1 1/4" size charm (116798 - $18.95) along with the 24" chain (116800 - $10.95) *You can see all of the sizes on page 189 of the Idea Book & Catalog.*

This is my very first design! I love the Pink Pirouette & Soft Suede combination, don't you?

It features the Always Elegant stamp set (w116976 $14.95 - c120477 $11.95) and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die (118138 - $11.95). I added different textures of ribbon on the chain for a "shabby vintage" look....

The NEW Holiday Mini Catalog features Simply Adorned "Baubles" for only $3.95 each beginning on Wednesday, September 1st. Hmmmm, Which one to choose? I guess I just "got to have them all"!! Have a great day!

Fast & Fabulous

Good Morning, Stampers!


Today is another Fast & Fabulous card I created in under 5 minutes! It features the Just Believe stamp set (w116948 $33.95 - c120453 $25.95) along with Rose Red & Early Espresso cardstock. The piece was finished off with a few pearls (119247 $4.95) and a spray or two of Log Cabin Smooch Spritz (119921).

Big Shot & Felt

One of my most favorite things to do in my Sizzix Big Shot is materials other than paper. Today's project is a little pin cushion I created using the Scallop Circle #2 die (113649 - $19.95) & some felt. I dug my sewing machine out (after several years in "hiding") when my NEW Stampin' Up! fabric arrived - I am having so much fun playing around with fabric & this little guy comes in so handy! It is a great project that took less than 30 minutes to make!

Fast & Fun in under 5

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I have a quick & easy card - Fast & Fun in under 5 minutes! Check it out:

Really, it took me less than 5 minutes! Rarely do I send Halloween cards & if I do, there are just a few.... However, I am addicted to our NEW Spider Web textured embossing folder (120889 - $7.95) from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog! I ran it thru the Sizzix in Basic Gray and them wiped my Whisper White Craft pad (101731 - $7.50) gently over the embossed areas. I punched a large oval and stamped the "spooky" sentiment from the NEW Wicked Cool stamp set (w118738 - $19.95/c120600 - $14.95) from pg. 23 of the Idea Book & Catalog. I tied the NEW Raven lace (120988 - $5.95) - also from the Holiday Mini Catalog - in a knot around the web & adhered it to the card. The final detail was the little white eyes I made on the bats with the White Signo Gel Pen (105021 - $3.95).

Too cute for trash??

Good Morning Stampers!!

I was shopping the fabric store the other day & came across this oh-so-delish pink & brown fabric...I knew I needed to make something with it but couldn't decide if I wanted a purse or something else. I finally decided to make them into little trash bins out of the Exclusive Sizzix die Scallop Square - 115950 - $21.95. My DD says they are too cute for trash & I agree, but they will sit on the table where I can see them all the time! Best of all, if they get dirty, I can throw them in the washing machine :o)

P.S. I am so NOT a sewer but I can sew a straight line. If I can do this, so can you!!

Holiday Card #4

Good Morning, Stampers!

As promised, here is the final card from my Holiday Card class. I kept the card simple so that it wouldn't take away from the ribbon frame. The Old Olive is embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots folder (117335 - $7.95). I love the simple & clean christmas tree from the new stamp set Contempo Christmas (w118734 - $15.95) (c120594 - $11.95) & the Dazzling Diamonds glitter (102023 - $4.50) is just SO SPARKLY!!

How to make the ribbon frame:

1. Cut a slit from the corner of your cardstock towards the center. The slit needs to be the length of your ribbon. Do this on all four corners.

2. Take a piece of your ribbon about 1" longer than the side of the cardstock. Tie a knot in the center. Feed the ends thru both sides of the slit. Once you have all for pieces thru, you can adhere tape on the back side to secure. It is a bit bulky so I used the red sticky strip to secure to the card....

Good Monring Stampers!

Here is the third of four holiday cards from my Holiday Card Class this month. This is a simple card that again features the oh-so-yummy Jolly Holiday DSP (117159 - $9.95). The Dasher stamp (116816 - $8.95) is from our A La Carte section on pages 18 - 20. The Snowflake punch (119852 - $16.95) & the Boho Blossoms punch (119858 - $16.95) were used to make the snowflake embellishment. ** Notice the A La Carte Simple Snowflake (115554 - $7.95) coordinates perfectly with this punch!

Holiday Cards #2

Good Morning Stampers!

Here is the second of four Holiday Cards. This card comes from a sample shown at the Convention this past July. I "tweaked" it just a bit :o) It features the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder (116824 - $7.95), the Jolly Holiday DSP (117159 - $9.95), the Scallop Trim Border punch (118402 - $15.95), & the 5 petal XL Flower punch (119880 - $16.95). I finished the card with one of our super-cool Antique Brads (117273 - $5.95). The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes stamp set - a Level 3 Hostess-Only stamp set. Over the next few days I will be showing you the cards we will be making in my 1st of 4 Holiday Card classes. This first card features the Jolly Holiday DSP (117159 - $9.95), the exclusive Top Note Sizzix die (113463 - $21.95) and the ornament from the Delightful Decorations stamp set (w116517 - $21.95). I used the Christmas Greetings stamp set (w115448 - $10.95) to finish it off. The 5/8" White Organza ribbon & a small pearl give it the finishing touch!

A Halloween "Peek"

Here is a card that the members of my stamp club made at our meeting this past week. It features new items for Halloween from the Idea Book & Catalog. The first is the Wicked Cool stamp set (w118738 $19.95 - c120600 $14.95) The second is the Wicked Fun DSP (117400 $11.95) This paper is SOOO COOL with the black flocking! Next is the Bitty Bat punch (119279 - $15.95) It is so much fun, too! Notice how the eyes are colored with the White Signo gel pen (105021 $3.95)? I roughed up the edges a bit with the distresser from the Cutter Kit (106958 - $16.95) & stamped the Old Olive Satin Ribbon (117292 - $8.95/15yds) with the little bats. Can you see the spider's web?? It is a "SNEEK PEEK" from the NEW Holiday Mini Catalog**! You will find it on page 6 (120889 - $7.95) This is only the first of many that you will see with this little web!

Wacky Wednesday - Fun Folds

Good Morning, Stampers!

Here is this weeks card samples for Wacky Wednesday. The theme this week is FUN FOLDS. The top card is folded like a cupcake. The technique used is Watercolored Pencils with blender pens. A little time consuming but fun, too! The card on the left has the bottom of the card fold up while the center is a separate card that folds over the bottom flap. ( I hope this makes sense :o)) It stays shut with the ribbon. The card on the right is a panel card that has the Old Olive tucked between the Turquoise & White layer. It is then folded over the top to the front. You can add your note just behind the flap. The workshop includes all three cards for only $5 & you will complete them in under an hour!

Customer Appreciation Treats

This past Sunday, I offered my customers a chance to see all of the great convention swaps I received, get prizes, stamp make & takes, & get great deals on all of my retired products! It was a "thank you" to them for all they do to support me in my business. One of the treats I had for each of them were these adorable little baskets made with the Baskets & Bloom exclusive die (113484) and the Two-Step XL Bird punch (117191). It is filled with little pretzel cookies & a pink lemonade single. I received this idea at convention but it came with no name so I don't know who to thank. I think these are so adorable and love having lots of different uses for the Sizzix dies!
